Lucinda Josephine Botsford Sewell

I figured I have not written in a few days so I would write a little bit about my Great Great Grandma Sewell. I think my grandma must have been named after her.

Lucinda Josephine Botsford was born February 10, 1848 in Sylvan Center, Washtenaw, Michigan to Samuel and Hepsey (Jackson) Botsford. She married Ira Joseph Sewell March 21, 1869 in Locke, Ingham, Michigan. They had 7 or 8 children. She died July 10, 1925 in Grayling, Crawford, Michigan.

This is a picture of Lucinda J. Botsford Sewell and her sister (not sure of sister's name). Unsure what year this picture was taken.
I don't know much more about her. Maybe as I am doing my research I will find out more about her and her family.

  1. What a great photo!! And I love the decorative edging. I don't think I have any with an edging like that, very neat!

  2. Thank you for the follow on my blog!
I have enjoyed yours and checked your surnames. No matches there. Darn!
The photo from yesterday's post is great! You can tell they are sisters, can't you?
    Good Luck with your research!

  3. I agree, that's a great photo. Here's hoping maybe one day you will learn the name of the sister and more about the photo.
